Lars Registered User regular. Yeah, those are the actual lyrics. Anyways, we're less than 12 hours from the release of the first new Devil May Cry game in over a decade. The game is full of references to past games, development history, and even some to the manga and anime. It apparently is able to stand alone if you haven't experienced those things, however. There is also a video you can launch from the main menu telling you about the past stories. A prequel novel was released, but only in Japan.

I was at Blockbuster. My family had a monthly pass, so I could rent a certain number of games for as long as I wanted. Once I was done, I could take them back and get new ones. But one game I always wanted to play was Devil May Cry 2. It was a combination of cool box art, an awesome back of the box, and sheer ignorance. But no matter how many times I asked my mother, she always said no. Maybe it was because the game was rated M; maybe it was because it was because of the subject matter my parents were fairly religious. Whatever the reason, no matter how many times I asked, I was never allowed to rent it.
